The Kosmos is an instrument of God’s will; and it was made by Him to this end, that, having received from God the seeds of all things that belong to it, and keeping these seeds within itself, it might bring all things into actual existence. The Kosmos produces life in all things by its movement; and decomposing them, it renews the things that have been decomposed…God’s working has to do with things free from change and movement, that is, with things divine; and it is God’s will that which is human should also be divine.
